WHY DESIGN ACTION?
With a rapidly increasing awareness of our habitat context; the climate, we still do not talk about the root causes of a multi-complex urgent problem in our daily lives. The climate crisis is closely interlocked with other crises that has been talked about for decades but as separate phenomena. For instance the burden of an ever increasing global population is never mentioned in the climate agreement signed in Paris 2015. More people equals larger consumption which leads to more waste. To deal with these challenges we believe in finding patterns across the fundamental aspects of modern society by mapping the ecosystems which affects us and the environment surrounding us.
Change starts with knowlegde so here´s some stats.
Yes, in general our lives are getting better and so many great things are happening on a global scale. However we believe the future belongs to visionaries and Let’s design action is focusing on how to solve and improve some of the truly complex, systemic and therefore deeply rooted issues of our societal ecosystem. Designing ethics and values are key aspects in this challenge. We want to transform fundamental human activity by morphing behaviours and creating actions. Through constant dialogue and exchange of ideas we move the boundaries of our existence. Our core values are equality, diversity and inclusion. This project is a leap towards a healthier life and world view.
A DIRECTION
With a new perspective we find ourselves able to create new thoughts and ideas. This is a crucial part of innovation. Our vision is a world in which mental, physical and natural health is prioritized above short term gains of money and resources. In an ever growing global population we need to be smarter with our consumption and waste production, to make this possible there is a need for great design. The “new” direction is a concious one, with an abundance of constructive energy and compassion to spare.
WHO ARE WE?
We are everything and everyone, a manifestation of the indefensible structures we live in and act upon. A direct response to over-consumption and depressed wealth. We are dreamers and innovators with nothing to lose. A young dynamic and rapidly growing action with nature and people oriented design as our core vision. We believe that a holistic system of design is needed to change the ongoing climate crisis and degenerative trends in human behaviour. Let’s act together, and in doing so, leave no one behind.
